The winning bidder will join Melanie in the Mix 96.5 studio and help plan and co-host one hour of The Melanie Show. You’ll work with Melanie to put together your hour, help choose what you’ll talk about, get behind the microphone and experience what it takes to bring a live, local radio show to Western North Carolina.
Then it’s time to turn on the mic. You’ll join Melanie on the air as her co-host, share the conversation with Mix 96.5 listeners and experience the energy, timing and occasional unpredictability of live radio from the other side of the speakers.
Whether you’ve always dreamed of being on the radio, love The Melanie Show, or just want a story you’ll be telling for years, this is your chance to trade the passenger seat for the co-host chair.
Best of all, your hour on the air helps Western North Carolina continue moving forward. Proceeds benefit the Swannanoa Resilience Hub and its ongoing work supporting recovery and resilience across the Swannanoa Valley.
Restrictions:
- Experience is subject to the availability of the winning bidder and Mix 96.5 on-air personality Melanie.
- Mix 96.5, Melanie and the station's programming department retain final approval over all content, topics and material aired during the experience.
- The experience must take place at the Mix 96.5 studios in Asheville, North Carolina. The winner will join Melanie in planning and executing one hour of an upcoming Melanie Show on Mix 96.5.
- The winning bidder and Mix 96.5 will have one calendar year from the close of auction bidding to schedule and fulfill the experience. Music aired during The Melanie Show is pre-scheduled and is not selected by the winning bidder.
